Under the instruction of Ba Ria – Vung Tau People’s Committee, Provincial Military Command and competent authorities, on June 01, 2018, Thi Vai International Port Co., Ltd (TVP) welcomed MV Dixmude, the French naval ship with over 700 commissioned officers, noncommissioned officers and sailors.
French naval crew took part in joint training and exchange activities as well as exchange experience in a number of fields with Vietnamese Navy as a part of the 45th anniversary of Vietnam-France diplomatic relations and the 5th anniversary of strategic partnership; at the same time, it is also evaluated to contribute to promoting cooperation in bilateral defense relation between Vietnam and France.
On June 04, 2018, the leaders of authorities in Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province and TVP visited Dixmude.
Dixmude sanding ship of Mistral level is 199 long, 30 high equivalent to one 10-floor building with load of 22,000 tons. This ship can carry 16 helicopters, dozens of armoured vehicle and naval equipment. This is the 2nd largest naval ship of France
From the trust of the provincial government authorities and the berthing of Dixmude at TVP, it is shown that TVP has safety at high-level, together with infrastructure in international standards, all customers can feel safe when deciding to select TVP as a arrival place of the vessels from home and abroad.
